If I had to go around (again) with Linda about "her lake" and the impact of muskies on panfish, walleye, etc. I wouldn't have been as nice…

I'm starting to think that she is just ignorant, and hopefully even teachable, instead of just an idiot blockhead (a la Mr. Darkhouse, for instance). She is in a position to do some good PR if she sees the light!

Sounds like she knows a lot about her lake, just not much about muskies. That's what I gathered from the whole thing.

Wow, just read through the whole post and it was really pretty tame compared to some of her past arguments. Came off to me like you were trying to pick a fight Duke, not trying to be mean, just giving you my honest opinion. Giving her the info is the best way to go, just like you did though, if you can give her enough non-anecdotal evidence, she might just come around someday.

You guys should have seen the last go round, I joined the forums just so I could tell her what I thought of her junk science she loves to spew… How she is an outdoor writer is beyond me, she has personal agenda up the wazoo

No offense taken FW- by all means I was trying to stir the pot a bit. I REALLY enjoy those opportunities to engage in scientific discussion, but it was hard to forget about her past history and the nonsense she likes to proclaim from a perceived position of authority.

I would like to echo the title of this post – THANKS, DUKE! Very well done, sir!

Secondly, it didn't sound to me like Duke was trying to pick a fight. In fact, he's one of the best we have for this. Very well informed – very sharp – and very patient!

Again, THANKS, DUKE! Keep it up. A great post, indeed!
