Anyone planning on fishing the "Supermoon" this weekend? Hopefully the clouds give way so we can acaully see it. I've never done much Night fishing but I thought I might give it a try. Anyone got any tips on lure selection or structure to fish at night

If it is a good spot during the day, it is good at night!

I like steady, slow, straight retrieves at night. Any lure you have confidence in that fits that bill should work out for you. Have fun!

In general, nights with bright moons tend to be less than stellar. This can vary depending on clarity because of course the light penetration will be less on stained waters. Success on nights with a bright moon may require fishing in ways that aren't thought of as "normal" night techniques.

But it's SOOO much easier! Seeing the docks, etc. Matt and I have had some pretty good night bites during full moon periods. The brightest lures always got the most attention. And we'd troll with some good success, putting lures back 75-100'.
