Anybody have anyplace on southern Michigan to get suckers? Probably a waste of time asking, I've called probably 15 places today from all over the state and no luck. Just trying to save myself the drive down to Webster in the morning, which is where I'm heading if I can't find them closer.

If you can't catch them make the run.

Will, what would be the best method to catch them? Nightcrawler on a hook? I thought I also read something about a sucker trap?

Awesome! Thanks for the tip. Just read that Nautical Mile BP has some in stock and they are supposed to be restocked every week. Only 10-14", do most of you like them larger than that?

Thanks for the help guys. Webster is only about 1.5hr from my house so I'm going to just head down there in a few hours.

I know where and how to catch suckers on the St. Joe River and a few other local spots but there are a few problems with that. First is not being able to transport them to and legally use them in the lakes I want. Second is the suckers I catch out of the St. Joe usually are too big. My buddies and I discovered a 150yard stretch of the St joe down by Mendon last spring that was STACKED with spawning suckers. We fished it a few times and had a blast. Catching carp and suckers is surprisingly fun. Not cool though when u catch a big male and he "squirts" a milky liquid all over you and the boat.
