I don't know whether any of you folks have had similar experiences out there, but the last three years that I have fished St. Clair, I don't get follows. I sometimes get bit, but no follows. Do they tend not to follow much out there because of the water clarity? I have read reports where some of you guys have saw lots of fish, but with me its either they eat or not show themselves at all. Any thoughts?

Only had one follow and it just came to the boat and stayed there. I mean for like 2 minutes and we could do nothing to get it to bite but that was the only follow I had on St. Clair last year.

I do not claim to be an expert on St. Clair but from my limited experince the muskies seem to come in a couple feet below and a good twenty feet behind your lure. I had a hard time seeing any follows out there until I started forcing myself to look that much further behind my lure.
Good point there Pimp.
Much of it depends on the lure too. Some lures just don't get many following fish, the fish is either triggered or not. Other lures seem to get a lot of follows and following fish can be triggered with speed in the eight.
