Next week Bob Kingsley and I will be trolling Spring Lake doing a sheepshead story to feed a eagle. More on that article later. However, since this is a fun goof off trip I plan on sidetracking a bit by using rod #2 plopping a muskie lure behind the prop wash. The logic is I get to experiment lures with a long shot at a stray muskie from next door Lake Mac. I was going to start by using a 9" Grandma. Any other suggestions? If I should be dumb lucky we could end up with two stories for future articles. The reports from Lake Mac include so many hours of zero fish, I know I can do that good on Spring Lake.

I have a couple of yellow baby duck lures you could try. They have paddle feet and a big treble on da butt. Filled em with foam. You might even get a bass with one. 😀

The Grandma is a good start. Any 6 or 7 inch Crankbait that dives about 6 to 10 feet could get bit by a pike or stray Musky. Kingfisher
