Thought I'd let y'all now what's going on up here with the spawn so you know where not to be fishing if making plans to come up. Upper chain fish should be coming off soon if they aren't already. Heard reports of spawners moving in to clam last week. Just seen the first one in torch river today. I was throwing a bomber in my trout hole that I lost a fish in earlier and out came this giant and I'm pretty sure she wanted to get a face full. Luckily I reacted quick enough and was able to rip it out of the water. I don't think that would have turned out good for either of us. I took the time to get a quick vid after deciding to quit fishing. <url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]

That takes some will power to pull a lure away from a biggun. My respect level keeps getting higher with you. 😀

As of last week Wed thru Sunday…. Upper Chain had some fish that were clean/pre-spawn, in progress, and done spawning.

Will be a little while before all the Intermediate girls are all done.

She did. There's about 100 suckers down there for her to gorge on. [smilie=biggrin.gif]

Could have been… I only put in a little time on Benway, but did fish it. I fished Intermediate up to Ells, and Clam in my time up there. Did see a few boats on Clam casting muskies, and a few more on the upper chain. It definitely gets some spring pressure.

I fished Sunday through Tuesday and observed the same thing. Caught a couple short males on Hanley and Wilson and saw a big girl on Intermediate.
I have yet to see a muskie on Benway. But I have not spent alot of time there.

Was that your Alumnacraft Competitor at Cedars? I saw the Toothtamer decal, thought it might be. I should have stopped and said hello.

I was at Cedars, and left Sunday.
