Easiest thing is to heat an old butter knife and use it to weld the two ends back together. You don't have to get the knife red hot… just hot enough to melt the plastic.

There are glues you can buy for this, too.

A wood burning tool works really well also as well as a soldering iron. Always melt from the inside out, they always hold good when you do that. I have more repaired dawgs and dussas than I do ones that aren't repaired.

I like to do my repairs on the water and either of these will get you going quickly. One word of caution, be careful when heating plastisol with a flame. Plastisol has a low melting point and will ignite easily if you're not careful it's easy to burn boat carpet, clothing, etc.

The one I have from Radio Shack can be used either as a torch or a soldering iron, for $22. You can bring a butter knife in the boat and use this to heat it.
