Lake X, normally I would have thought pike, but the head was the electric blueish green and I counted 7 pores on the one side of the lower jaw..looked like a mini Muskie. Caught on an open face ultralight, 4 pound fusion type line, on a beatle spin..

Brendan and I hooked into almost 60 fish, mostly bluegill, sunfish and crappie, and a few accidental bass-fish were very active today. Threw em' all back….

Nice fish. I plan on going after panfish next weekend although I won't be so friendly with the catch and releasing of the bluegills.

Looks like a healthy little muskie.

Is the KTD sign up at the ramp there yet?

So assuming your fishing where I think you were, does anyone know if that lake will be getting stocked again now that the DNR has switched strains and Austin is apparently back on the stocking list?

Not yet, was going to ask you about that. That fish will fast become a keeper"pike" to an uneducated shore fisher! There are TONS of 2pd suckers in that lake right now…

You're playing with fire bringing a muskie net out after the season closed! 😯 [smilie=biggrin.gif]

Muskie net was out of the boat, its the frabill walleye/carp/dogfish net that you saw there. And that lake has some keeper size garden fertilizer running around in it. Grasshopper, you must look at the entire net before casting judgement [smilie=brows.gif]

I ALWAYS carry some type of net in the boat 😀

OK, I gave a couple to Plainwell for there but maybe we need to take it into our own hands.
