Very interesting! Love those old photos. Don't know about the where though, except they were not caught in Shingleton!

Whats the closest body of water?And it says Baumans on it,what is that
a tackle store?The fish in the middle looks to be huge.I gotta hook one like that sometime!Where the helz is this Shingleton!
That old BW pic makes it hard to tell what strain they are.I'd guess northern, but where would they have come from??

There's nothing real close to Shingleton (hint: go to mapquest and type in Shingleton MI). There are lakes not too far away to the east and south though…

Back in the day photo's like that got passed around from Resort to resort, bait shop to bait shop, etc. Everyone put their name on it and sold it in their shop.

My guess… the fish in the middle is about 43-45".

Really have no guess on this at all. As far as I know there are no decent muskie fisheries in the Shingleton area that are as old as this picture looks to be. Maybe Indian Lake or the Tahquamenon (although the middle fish looks a little girthy for a Tahq. fish). Both of these waters are a heck of a long ways from Shingleton though.
Kid, Shingleton is just South of Van Meer and North of Stueben… does that help???
