I'm hosting this and I was originally planning on keeping it informal but after some conversation I figured I'd at least see what everyone else wants to do. I'm looking for both a count of members planning on coming and whether or not you want a formal or informal lunch. I'm fine with either I just don't want to spend money and have people not show up. If we do a formal lunch it will be a little later than normal, maybe 2ish.

I definitely want to go, but would need to hitch a ride in someone's boat. As for the lunch, I love having a formal meeting time where everyone can talk with each other and find out what's going on throughout the lake. It would be nice to have hot dogs/burgers, but we could just have everyone bring their own lunch as well.

I'm with Jason on this. The last Sanford outing I went to was a great time. I always like having a formal lunch to talk with others, and meet new people. And it has that great pavillion, so we might as well take advantage of it. (Jason, you're more than welcome to come in my boat again. Had a good thing going last time, might as well keep the mojo flowin'!)

Not much respond on this…did any formal decision get made? I would say everyone bring his or her own lunch and then set a time for people to meet if they want. So, meet at the pavillion at noon if ya want to talk muskies and tactics, but if you want to keep fishing that is fine as well.

i dont need to know the future, i just don't think it will be hot. Thats fine if you don't agree

The temps at night are well into the 50's some nights the 40's. A few years ago we had 80's into october and the water was still plenty cool enough to fish.. so unless it is 90 all of sept.. They won't be unfishable in a month, if they are ill send you a free bait

Ok sounds good….I'm sure the temps will be fine by then too, just making a smart remark…In the case that the temps are to warm though I will take one of the newer medusa thingys you don't like….

Nothing a quick group email couldn't take care of… It's a 2 1/2 hour drive for me. 1/2 the reason I like going to these outings is the comradery. If I'm going to drive 2 1/2 hours to fish a barren lake, I'd much rather drive for another 15 min and go to LSC. Although… man… those Sanford fish have got some FIGHT in them!!
If nobody here has ever fished Sanford, this would be the time to do it. Sept (from what I hear) is the best month out there. I've caught my 3rd largest fish from Sanford, but it was the hardest fighting fish by far. These fish are just built differently than others.

You guys missed out. Scrappy landed a nice fat 43 incher on a figure 8. I didn't get a ski but I landed a 34 inch northern which was my best so it was a good day.
