Heading to Sanford today, whats your guys thoughts on trying to jig Bondy's in the old river channel on here? I know this lake isnt known for quanity, would I be wasting my time?

The fish are either deep, shallow, or somewhere inbetween. If they are deep, the Bondy will be the ticket. [smilie=biggrin.gif]

I've thought about doing that same thing but can never bring myself to jig for the day. Sanford is a tough lake with limited numbers of fish so it is hard to tell if your patern/approach is off or if you were using the right technique at the right time but in the wrong location.

That's exactly how I feel Scrappy, there's lots of spots that should hold fish. But the question is are they holding fish while I am fishing for them..

Better bring a lure retreiver!!! I don't think you will cover enough water IMO. Probably beats fishin dead weeds and casting through piles of chopped of weeds, thanks Sanford Lake Association for spraying the weeds earlier this year…..

Do you know if they sprayed at wixom? So thats why there was an abudance of floating weeds everywhere…

Actually they started spraying later this year for some reason, usually the spraying starts before Memorial Day.
