musky season is open year round on the bay Just wondering if anyone has fished it and how to locate fish. I ve heard talk of some weed beds out there and other walleye people say I should try the cat tails does anyone have any suggestions.

The first suggestion would be to try to locate walleyes, bass, or pike and just fish for them! Unfortunately your odds of finding a musky in the bay are going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of playing the lottery. But there are some huge pike out there

Although you hear about one being caught accidently every year or two, you could troll every day for a year and not catch one.

There are too many walleye and they're eating all the muskie. Cool

So what about Lake Erie in the off season, say the Brest Bay area. Would that be as difficult to catch a musky as Saginaw Bay? I know of a person who accidently caught one out there during summer.

No, you can find them out there much easier than Huron. The only problem is that all the big girls seem to be out of reach (out of season) in the river from now until June.
