Some of you may know him and just recently saw/ talked to him at the Chicago show so I am posting this regretfully.
A friend and fellow Muskies Canada member called me tonight and informed me that Rolf Balansiak of Wishmaster Big Baits has passed on.
He made some beautiful lures and also happened to be a real nice guy.

Sad news indeed. He fished the same waters in Georgian Bay as I, and would talk freely about spots and tech.

I saw him only once at the '03 Chicago show. I emailed him several times over the next few years and found out he had moved north to live on Iroquois Bay, just north of McGregor Bay. He wanted to be closer to the quality waters where he could fish more. This is really sad. How old was he??

What!!!! I just talked with Rolf at the Chicago show. I was going to order two of his 14 inch lures. He looked fine on Sunday. Mike

I went to his site. Its true, some kind of heart failure. Oh man, he helped me a lot in 2001. He gave me a couple tips to fix my first Deepthreats. He was good guy and there were none better in the lure business. R.I.P. Rolf, Mike and Michelle

Does anyone know if he had a brochure on his table at the shows? I would love to have one. Thanks.
