Hopefully they get more in soon. They were out of the 60HS when I made the trip yesterday with the intent to buy a few.
I don't think we will get any more in. I believe they are being discontinued and therefore are being put on clearance to sell the remaining inventory. I'll see if I can find some more of the 60s though. They are the same price online too, but look like they are selling pretty quickly.
Alright, I need a new reel mine that I have now only can handle smaller baits and I'm new when it comes to bait casts so i don't fully understand what makes them better than others or which style is more suited for bigger/faster moving baits. How many of you guys fish with these reels and can back up the value of the reel compared to the price and it's performance. It seems toe the Calcutta is a very good reel but it's expensive, but it's only 100 more than the rev toro. I already know I need a new rod and reel for next year and if this is a steal getting it today I just wanted some more feedback from you " musky experts" [smilie=bow.gif]

What do you mean by this exactly?
To suggest a reel we would really need to know more about what you want the reel to do.
Is it going to be a primary "do it all" reel?
What kind of lures do you plan to use?
Do you want a low profile or round reel?
Once these basic questions are answered it's then a matter of comfort for you. As someone that likes to palm my reel, instead of holding the fore grip of the rod, I find some reels aren't comfortable. The reasons vary from sideplate design to how/where the line guide travels. So, regardless of what anyone says you really need to get the reel in your hand and if at all possible to fish with it.
I'm with Will on this one. Comfort is the top priority for me. I also palm the reel and learned quickly from my bass reels that I prefer low profile with a smooth side plate design. It is much more comfortable than the round reels for me personally. Keep in mind that I discovered on bass reels, so as you can imagine, it is amplified with the bigger muskie reels.
It's no fun using gear that is uncomfortable all day, especially doing something as strenuous as muskie fishing.

As a guy who fished round styled reels exclusively up to this year I can say I can say its amazingly more comfortable and smooth compared to most round reels. I would probably only take a Calcutta D over the revo toro but that's because the Calcutta D is so amazingly smooth.
