For anyone that cares I'm about to get involved again (maybe not worth it) but MMA and Will are being trashed on FB daily. It's getting to the point of uncalled for! Hulbert and Quintano on both their pages are trashing MMA and Will. We all know the facts and know how much MMA and Will among many others of this club (too many to name) that have always had the best interest of Michigan Muskies in mind (including LSC). I would hope others who are on FB represent and respect Will and MMA. For those not on FB or paying attention or don't have connections to the "LSC crowd" MMA (our club) and Will is single handedly being blamed for the new CIR Regs on LSC. Time to help out and protect our own…..Jason Quintano and Mike Hulbert are the big ones who trash Will and MMA daily. You can start there….
That is real classy of those guys. I like how they are badmouthing MMA, a club that is full of possible customers for them, and Will who has done more for musky in this State than anybody. What a bunch of selfish assholes.
It sucks that there isn’t a exemption for LSC but I am excited for the new CIR season on inland lakes. Thanks to everybody who helped out in this decision.

46 on Murray, remove 50 from big bear, and a spearing ban on lower crooked.
All MSL changes are listed in this fisheries order.

I read it, I'm a little lost (as usual) Hudson it said first Sat in April where last Sat was crossed out. Was a mistake made?
Good catch! The last paragraph on page 3 of the report ex0lains the intention to have the harvest season changed on Hudson and thorn be from the first Saturday in June to November 30…

O.K. to keep one is from 1st Sat in June to Nov 30th. Can you start fishing for them the 1st Sat in April or the last Sat?
Nick has it right here. There is actually 2 fisheries orders involved with all if our changes. FO 206.18 is about special regulations. So anything with a different msl or harvest season is listed there. FO 215.18 is the general hook and line regulations. So the standard season changes, like the harvest opener being the first sat of June, are there. It also contains the CIR season, and the harvest limits of one per season and the mandatory registration.
Interestingly, the bow fishing and spearing regulations are in a different fisheries order…. FO 219.18. The only change for us is the addition of lower crooked to the list of lakes where spearing is not allowed. I always wonder what the reason could be that hook and line angling, and spearing are allowed by different fisheries orders [smilie=shrug.gif]
This is such a huge step for the state, especially on northern waters relying on natural reproduction! Having a 50" limit on the lower chain will allow females to spawn for a handful of years without the threat of being harvested. Now we need to push to get 50" across the entire chain and also the inland waterway 😀
