1. All Contestants shall be members of a Muskies Inc Chapter.  Members from different chapters may fish on the same team, however each team must consist of one member from a chapter located in Region 3.  All team points shall go to the Region 3 team angler. In the case of two Region 3 members from different chapters they shall designate before the tournament which chapter they will represent. Contestants must pre-register using the tournament Entry Form, and shall pay their registration fee prior to fishing.
2. No refunds of tournament fees shall be given for any reason.
3. Each contestant shall also complete and provide to the tournament a properly signed Release of Liability form at time of registration.
4. Contestants shall be licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, shall have their boat properly registered by their respective state of residence, shall abide by all Kentucky boating and fishing laws and regulations, and shall abide by all rules listed on the MI release form and as supplemented by these rules.
5. Competition in this event is based upon the precepts of honesty and good sportsmanship.
6. All fish of 36 inches (36” is the legal size on Cave Run) or longer shall be registered with the Tournament Director following the end of each day’s fishing using the current Muskies Inc. Release Form. Blank form copies may be obtained at time of registration.
7. Completed forms shall be properly signed by the contestant and a WITNESS prior to review by the tournament director.
8. All fish caught shall be released to the water following measurement and photography. Any fish that does not swim away alive will be disqualified. NO LIVE BAIT.
9. Muskies Inc.’s Point Total System shall be the sole method of determining the winning team.
10. Teams shall consist of not more than two contestants. One traveling Chapter Challenge Trophy shall be awarded to the Chapter whose team has the greatest number of points.
11. In the event of a tie, a coin toss shall determine the winner with the contestant with the earliest-caught registered fish calling heads or tails.
12. Additional prizes may or may not be awarded, based upon availability of funds.
13. The Trophy shall be surrendered at the start of the next Region 3 Challenge event.
14. Fishing shall not begin prior to 7:30 am March 17, 2018 and shall end no later than 5 pm that day; then, not prior to 7:30 am March 18 and ending at 1 pm that day.
15. Fishing shall be conducted only at Cave Run Lake, KY; defined by the following boundaries: to the North, the dam; to the South, the highway culvert at Longbow Marina; and to the Southwest, the mouth of the Licking River where it joins Beaver Creek and Buck Creek.
16. Contestants may choose to participate in a Big Fish money pool. Such pool shall be outside of the direction of the tournament and Muskies Inc. takes no responsibility for the pool.
17. Finally, the tournament has a ‘no illegal drugs or alcohol’ policy. The use of such intoxicants during the tournament is prohibited
