This is straight from kid coulson's book of muskie riddles.
Im sure most of you already know this but,……..
Its a really good idea to turn your clicker mechanism off if you cast your lures out while setting up to troll(remember to turn the clicker back on).
On my ABU's, and Im sure alot of others, Its basiclly a metal arm with some spring tention that "rubs"/rides on the teeth of a plastic or nylan gear thing(maybe its a cog?). Well,..everytime your clicker clicks there is a certain amount of wear going on. So, if your like me and never turn the clicker off you will end up with a very worn plastic cog ,shavings and "plasic dust" inside the cover area, a very soft click that you can hardly hear over the motor, and another small part+shipping to pay for.
