Had to use the hot line today. Working on a job right on Austin Lake, and 2 bass boats were working their way around casting tubes & spinnerbaits. Was on the job for another hour after the phone call, but no law enforcement showed up by then. Was kind of hoping to see the guys get busted! [smilie=brows.gif] Tell you what…. it was really tempting to bring along my stuff and cast off the dock!

They generally look the other way on pre-season fishing for bass. The scenario would go something like this…
CO: What are you guys fishing for?
Bass Guy: Crappie.
CO: Can I see your licenses?
Bass Guy: Here you go.
CO: (after checking valid license) Thanks, have a nice day.

Hmmm… I keep catching catfish with bulldawgs.

Do you think the COs will buy it if I'm out there tomorrow throwing dawgs and I tell them I'm "catfishing"?

I think that would up to the officers discretion, TICKET.
