Went with a musky guide this summer and he loved these reels for musky fishing. This sale seems like a good deal if anyone is looking for a reel like this:

Been there, had 2, thought they were gonna be the ticket. Was not the case… Seem like well built reels, but the number one problem is the bait clicker location. You will turn it on often, just with normal casting. Mike and Joe also picked them up… They ran in to the same trouble. In addition, I just could not get comfortable holding this reel. THere is no good place to rest your thumb.
Everyone's hand is different, so maybe it will work for you, but it did not for me.
Right on Chad! The baitclicker is located in an area, rear of left side plate, where your hand will accidentally brush over it and turn it on. Hopefully they have made improvements and changed the clicker location. I didn't notice it on the picture link that was included but it may be just a bad angle. Quantum really didn't put any thought in to it's location. Mike mentioned that he simply removed his.
I use a Cabo on my jerk bait rod and have experienced the accidental "clicker" sound on more than one occasion. š” I like the reel OK but it does have a different feel in your hands. It's a small profile reel.
