Now I must be the most unlucky fisherman in the world to catch a fish that SHRANK 1.5" over a full year. But hey, catch and release works! 🙄

The water may be colder this year. I know that I have shrank at least 1.5" due to water temp before.

There are three kinds of lies: lies, DAMN lies, and lies about your fish's size.

The sad part is that it looks like he tried to stretch this fish to 50. a fish the guy may have gotten a replica made of and never would have known. I know another guy that fished with him and said it took too long to get the fish too 50 but it did and there was a replica made.

I think the recapture is amazing, and its actually the 2nd time I have caught a fish out there and had someone else realize they had caught the same fish. I must just be able to catch dumb ones that get caught a lot! I just wish I knew for the sake of knowledge what the legit length was last year. 46? 47?. It looks longer in my pics IMO and it had to of grown. I know one thing if I catch that fish again in 2016 and its legit over 50" its getting a replica made cuz that pattern is sweet!

noone will ever know how long it was last year.. the tail read 49.5. the tip of the mouth was covered by his hand . noone looks at the head to make sure it is touching..Hulbert did this to a fish with me in 2012.. pretty sad!

That is me in the picture in the green sweatshirt… Buddy caught it and we had never been to st.clair before nor do we have the boat for it. However I would not go on that boat again. It was 49" not sure where the .5 came from, no replica was made and either way no a bad first ever Muskie.
