I've got a feeling based on Heiting's response on the MHM forum that those are the pics.

I think this guy measured the fish wrong.

Looking in his muskie inc records he has no 50 inch fish. And his 40 inch plus fish have very large girths for the lakes they came from.

This guy probably really think his fish was 60 X28. Probably a nice 38 pound fish. Most people measure girths wrong and some people use a tape rather than a stick to measure a fish. A tape of length if not done properly can add a lot to the fish. I think in all the excitement this fish was measured wrong.
