What kind of other banquet items would you guys like to see? We've got TONS of custom painted lures that will be up for bid, but is there any other odd items we should be looking at getting? Remember, this is YOUR banquet. You guys will be bidding on this stuff, so we don't want to get things that no one will have a use for.
Is anyone interested in:
*Guiding Trips- Where? Minnesota or Wisconsin? How about LSC or Indiana?
*Release tools- Nets? Odds and ends like pliers or hookouts? Jaw Spreaders?
*Clothes- Winter Gear? Rain Gear? Vented Shirts?
*Camping stuff- Lanterns or tents? Sleeping Bags?
*More Lures- Are there any special lures that come to mind?

[quote="Hamilton Reef"]Leader construction kit with assorted components (flouro, snaps, rings, sleeves, wire). This could be a material package you feel needed to get someone started.
Good idea, provided it also includes the good crimper that Chad showed us.
This is a good idea but we don't get any discount on the merchandise. We would likely loose money on the package. This reminds me of the boxes with hooks that we did last year. Cool item to have on the silent auction table but in the end we lost money on them.

maybe one of us tackle makers can find them cheap enough through a wholesaler. i know my rod building supplier just started carrying mustad hooks, and some split rings and stuff. another carries a lot of heavy leader but not sure of the brands…and i get a bit of a discount on them. but we could make them a donation from the company and not get hosed for buying wholesale for personal use!
A minimum bid on the leader pakage including pliers is fine. Aside from the banquet it would be nice to have the leader kit package on hand during the year to help new members. Money and lures saved by members using the correct quality components, even at retail price, is money they can spend later on additional lures or MMA.
My vote would be for many of things you already do, because I think you do a great job! Over the past three years, I have found myself willing to spend money on custom painted baits, guide packages and trips.
My vote for this year, would be double and triple D's from Kurt's Island shop. Mark Smith paints some beautiful lures. I think guide dates with MMA members like, Will, Chad and Kingfisher sound great. Last I knew Jimmy TenHaaf made an awesome bump board as well as a trailer hitch cover with the MMA logo engraved in it. The packages for specific lakes was also a great idea.
Thanks for all you do!

Thanks for all the kind words (to me and MMA), Mark!!
I totally forgot about making a hitch cover! Thanks for reminding me. I'm going to see if I can get another made up and get on on the table. That never even crossed my mind this year. What a lifesaver!
