friday night at midnight, as soon as its saturday… Its kind of a tradition of ours to walk down to the river and hit a few holes with crawlers at midnight. There isn't much better than brown trout and eggs for breakfast.
Cool…..I think I will start a tradition for me to camp somewhere for opening weekend and fish for a few hours after midnight. 😀
she is making progress. The therapist has got the spine straight now and her muscles are holding it there. She has a ways to go but she should be better then she has been in 15 years when this is over. This is something she should have done years ago. The good news is its not too late to straighten it all out and with proper exercise her back will stay in. She has been working hard with neck traction and two visits a week to Great lakes physical therapy. Lots of exercises and protein shakes. She has even lost some weight. We are hoping she is better by the end of may. Mike
I have watched to reports get worse by the day. Friday had Saturday at 63 degrees and cloudy in the lower half of the state and 58 and partly cloudy up around the chain. Now it much worse. Yesterday it was calling for 47 and rain in Plainwell and cloudy and 50 in Bellaire. It will most likely change again by saturday but if it doesnt get any better Im not wasting the gas at 4 bucks a gallon on miserable day being wet and cold. That is what got me sick last year. Sunday looked worse then Saturday so If it doesn't turn around a get better we might wait until Wednesday to go. Mike

Cloudy on Saturday and sunny on Sunday with 8-10 mph wind. Seems pretty nice to me. Wind is the only thing that ever kills a nice day for me and anything under 15 mph is usually pretty workable.
Amen to that, I don't mind a little chop here and there, but those of us with smaller boats… Its ridiculous. Last year was miserable, I caught some great trout, and 5 nice waldos, but no ski's and the wind was brutal…. then I left the walleyes in the fridge at the cabin [smilie=bangtard.gif]
Hopefully Hamlin isn't too blustery this weekend, or I might spend the weekend soaking my broken foot in the river
