Anyone know if any lakes opened up with this recent warmer weather and rain? I think I'll check Campau today and will post if it's open or not.

Murray has several inches of total ice cover and ice fishermen were out yet Thursday. Monday I was drilling through 8-9 inches. Edges are shot now and we can not get on or I would be out there ice fishing.
Heard reports of 3 fish harvested through the ice this winter. [smilie=cry.gif]

Most local ponds are still frozen over so until those thaw I don't even bother checking inlands.

Another solid week or two will help and more 60 degree random days

From Murray. All from NE corner off 5 mile.
Besides those a guy I see almost weekly told me that more than one big tiger was taken from another lake just NE of me. That is a lake not connected in any way to anything I know of that contains muskie. I called BS and asked for a picture. He said he knew the guy and could get it for me. Will see if he comes through.

Would bet east end of Mac as open. Also, the far east end where the river dumps in holds tons of shad this time of year.

Campau still had ice on it, but it was very thin. I'm hoping it will be open this next weekend with the warm weather still hanging around this week.
I heard all the Indiana lakes were open, but severely flooded for obvious reasons.

Lots of ice bergs flowing thru the Holland channel too, a lot of that should melt away this week.

That warm weather we had earlier this week finished the job. Ovid is now open.

East side about 1/3 covered by slushy ice. Strong enough a muskrat can stand on it. One boat out yesterday and he could not get from east launch to the north side.
Hunt me down at the banquet tonight and get my phone number or send FB message as am always happy to give lake updates.
