They are clearing inventory because all of the new bulldawgs have a different internal harness, new hooks/split rings and harder "new" rubber.
The Pro Dawg is a totally different animal that has a jointed harness, this is NOT the reason they would be clearing our old dawgs. The jointed harness gives the Pro Dawg the flex that the old seven strand dawgs had (not always a good thing).

The first thing bad about them that comes to mind is the inability to bend it. I usually run my dawgs straight, but there's a time when a bent dawg that runs "wild" to the left, right, up, or down could be a big trigger.

Ive always had better success with mine running straight but others love them when they go crazy and in all directions. Most likely another situational thing where the different styles work better at different times and for different applications. I do like to bend mine up a little bit when fishing shallower weeds. This keeps the bait higher in the water and over the weeds more.
