At the end of last year I had four Indurons with various problems from slipping anti reverse to rough gears and other minor problems.
I packed them up on April 2nd and sent them off to Ontario, California. They arrived in CA on April 6 and were back in my hands today. Included was a detailed repair list that looks something like this:
(4) drive gears
(4) drive gear shafts
(4) pinion gears
(4) worm shafts
(4) line guide pawls
(6) drag washers
(3) ball bearings
All four cleaned and lubed.
Total repairs: $141.52 😯
Total charges: $0.00 😀
I had the same great customer service with the 2 Indurons I shipped back. In addition to the reels, I had 3 eye guides pop out on one of my rods last year and they sent me a brand new rod. The only thing I had to pay was shipping. They have gone way above what I would expect to see a company do, and because of this service I will continue to have Okuma products in my rotation.

And this is likely why Okuma's new round reels, the Akena and the Chromer, come with only a 1-year warranty. The Induron has been discontinued.
Yes, I'm certain. The primary reason I got the Induron(s) was for the warranty. No reel, or rod, should ever be offered with a lifetime warranty. Any actual manufacturer defects are going to come up right away and not three years down the road. I'm certainly not complaining though!
