I am definitely trying my hardest to be there and might have an open seat if someone wants to join. I'm sure my wife would like me having another person in the boat just in case something were to happen.

Do you have a game-plan for the day? Depending on the weather I might have to stay in the channel, but I would like to venture out a little into Anchor Bay if I can. Staying in the channel and working rubber baits might not be a bad option though at this time of year.

It will probably be a little faster than normal with the recent rain but in most areas it runs around 1.5 mph

Any one have an open seat? I have always wanted to fish LSC with someone that doesn't get seasick.

There was actually a pretty good turnout for the event as there were 11-12 guys who made the trip over. Weather was pretty good for the most part, but did turn nasty around 5pm or so. Water temps were 52-53 with about 6-8' visibility. Weeds were still really healthy with a lot of cabbage, some milfoil, and one spot of coontail. Joel A. and I basically stayed in the North channel the entire time looking for weeds on the channel edge. We moved 2 really small fish, a lake trout or something similar, and then had a good window around 11-12. I had a nice 48" come in hot after a Medussa and ate on the third turn. Unfortunately she gave one head shake and threw the bait. We regrouped and continued the drift and 45 minutes later my line went slack. I set the hook and a thick 45" hit the net a couple seconds later after some great head-shakes and boat-side jumps. We stayed until 3pm as we wanted to get on the road before the rain came in. I believe there were a couple of other fish caught, but I'll let those guys post the pictures.
