Maybe I'm jumping the gun here and after more discussion today I'll wait until after the meeting later this month to make a decision. To be honest, I'm not sure I have the energy to do this all over again.
We will be sending a letter and survey to every member. The letter will discuss the options and the survey will ask things like "Why did you join MMA?"
All:
I take back my decision to leave MMA, sorry I thought it was a good idea initially. I will not abandon MMA and I'll need to be voted out before I shut my mouth.
MMA was founded to be a conservation group and that's what it will be. MMA needs to leave Muskies, Inc. in my opinion but it will be up to the mebmership to make that decision based on the facts.
Muskies, Inc. is no longer an asset to MMA in my opinion. If it's not an asset and the members don't feel they get any benefit from Muskies, Inc. then MMA members are wasting their money.

I thought it was necessary for another group to start. After thinking it over I think the opposite, if someone wants to start a chapter of Muskies, Inc. let them. MMA has built a reputation and a name in Michigan and other states as the premier muskie organization in Michigan. I will not abandon what I worked for five years to build, unless I'm forced out.
Ok, now your getting to the core. First I believe that M.M.A. needs to stay intact. Second I think that M.M.A Can function as an Independent ORG. Members can retain thier Muskies inc memberships and list in the chapter 00 or unafiliated catagory if they like the lunge log ,magazine etc. to keep everyone happy I would either give Muskies inc members a cut rate on the dues or keep MMA dues low . Not Many guys want to pay 35 dollars per year to two separate ORGS. We all know its not the dues that give MMA its capital anyway. This is just a sample ,Muskies inc $35.00 ,MMA $20.00. 55.00 per year to belong to both is not bad for me. However if the MMA dues are too high. There will be many who will make a choice between the two. Will, glad to have you back 🙂 🙂 . Discussion will be the best thing to sort out all the guys and gals on this issue. Kingfisher
Thats great Will. There will always be times when your hobby becomes
your work and it gets old once in a while.Trying to make the right decisions and get the job done without piszing some faction of the club off
must suck.I know because I did it at my old work for alot of years.I hoped
the people respected the position even if they didnt like the guy in it.
Your passion for these fish is undeniable, your knowledge second to none,
and as your people skills grow I believe your going to end up in the Hall
of Fame. Hows that for a pep talk!!
