I turn 93 this year, can't see well enough to tell the difference between a bass or a musky, and often I forget what lake I'm even fishing if I can manage to find it in the first place. But this could be fun, let's just please visit a good trolling lake since I have a bad back too.

This thread speaks volumes to the amount of traffic and the demographic of this forum

I think we may get better results if we send out the challenge via carrier pigeon…

I could probably get my brother involved along with Smada and Musselman and MattG_braith from up north and they probably have some friends they could bring.

I didn't forget about you! 😀

So, Will and I were talking the other night, and came up with this idea. What do you think – Each of the outings this year will be one of the "Old vs Young Guns" tournaments. The points will build throughout the year, and then there will be a year-end championship at the Bruce. Oh, and Jason, as VP, I dub you the official coordinator and point keeper for this whole shabang since it's your idea. 😀

If we use the above idea, it would be whover shows up at each outing.

I'd be fine with that; there are only a couple of fish caught per outing so it shouldn't be hard to keep track of the points. This would be pretty cool as I can post results after ever outing so people can see where they are, but it might be difficult to get an official count of people for every outing.

I don't think it would be too hard… Somehow, some way, we always here of every catch eventually.

woohoo!!! I'm not an old fart!
and this whole line of conversation I think fits well into the letter in the new musky hunter about 20 somethings not musky fishing! I think we are doing a pretty good job! I know since I started I've been able to get a few friends into it and both brothers, and I have found a surprisingly big group of "closet" musky guys that really want to, and do occasionally fish muskies, but don't admit it because they aren't very successful. Its fun teaching/learning/ experiencing with those guys and getting them on fish, or having them watch you catch fish.
sorry for the off topic soap box there, but I think we do need to pat a lot of guys on here on the back for promoting our sport, and fish!

Yeah I'm not worried about finding the numbers of fish caught, I'm worried about getting the total tally of people there as we would need that number to divide the points out by team. Or were you thinking about doing it all individually?
