True, but is the percentage lower for people actually showing up to the outings? Maybe I'm not sure on some people's ages, but I can think of a good group of younger guys that would give the vets a good match [smilie=biggrin.gif]

I could probably get my brother involved along with Smada and Musselman and MattG_braith from up north and they probably have some friends they could bring. I'm not sure how old then Tenhaaf brothers are but maybe we up the age a little to get them in. I could see getting ten or so 'young guns' to an outing to take on all competitors!

Daaaammmmm!!! Old Geezer? Vet? Sheeesh! I just get over 30, and I'm getting verbally thrashed! Ya, I think I should be included in the "young gun" category. I'm 31. I think the line should be drawn at 40. That IS when most guys have their "mid-life crisis".

I hear ya Jim, I'm 31 as well. First time I've been called out as old myself, lol. We might have to show those youngens how to respect their elders 🙂

You old guys sure complain alot. Im 44 and I say you whipper snappers would get thumped. Need to make it interesting and the losing team donates $10 per person to MMA? Maybe make it real interesting and fish Lake Diane or a lake nobody really knows well?

I have more lures than I do money. It'd be easier to get rid of a lure. And I like the idea of fishing an "out of the ordinary" lake.

Maybe the Hamlin outing? Although I'm not convinced anyone would actually catch one there so then we can all just donate lures to the club. [smilie=brickwall.gif]

35 i think would be a good age cutoff. I know we have a lot of guys over 40, and under 35 we have a lot as well.

I'd be in! I could probably get my brother or another buddy to fish with. My bro's been wanting to fish in one of these outings. I didn't make it to any myself last year so I plan on making to a few this year for sure.

Adventure, excitement, a Jedi craves not these things.

How do you measure yourself with other golfers? By height.

Lots of 'young guns' ready for this, but only Ed is stepping up to take on the challenge! Come on people, I know Ed isn't the only one who would like to take us on!

LOL! This thread speaks volumes to the amount of traffic and the demographic of this forum.

This would be interesting though… the number of anglers at a given outing is generally weighted toward the younger group, particulary when it's called a "tournament". Therefore the limited number of "old farts" would have to catch fewer fish to win said challunge.

Yep! Just run it the same way as the Ice-out challenge and divide the total team points by the number of participants of each team. And yes, definitely shows who is online on a regular basis. We could do a regular outing at hamlin, but then just have a little side challenge for those interested.

I dare say once I strapped on the Bifocals I may just be up for this. I can think of about four of us that will probably be at Hamlin in the "older" bracket. Great idea to spice up the day a bit.

Two questions-

Whos bringing the applesauce and can we take a nap in the middle of it?lol

Kevin

Plus if we do Hamlin we could go to Big Als afterward and pound pizza hard to the core.

Jason versus Ditka musky fishin'…
