Six trap nets went into Murray on Tuesday and will be there for at least a week. Nets will be checked every other day and fish measurements taken. I talked to Brian Gunderman, DNR Fisheries Supervisor at the Sport Show and he said a goal is to determine GLS growth rates. On Tuesday the crew told me they planned to swing by today and show me some fish in the horse tank on their boat. [smilie=biggrin.gif]
The crew pulled up to my house on Thursday to show my grand kids and I three muskies and a bunch of pike. Sent them on their way with a big thank you and to go cups of coffee. They made another show and tell stop at the house of our lake association president.
Crew stopped by this morning and picked up coffee. Sounds like Thursday was a pretty good day with 13 and 14 fish from Campau and Murray. Colder water today and the first 2 nets only had pike.
