If you end up buying one, I really like my Stowmaster folding net:

It has small-holed, fin-safe, coated mesh, and folds into a compact size that's easy to deploy quickly. When fishing with two people in my small boat, I keep it folded and it really saves space. Nice roomy bag, too, if you get the Muskie size. Pricey, but very well-built. I have the TS941M; my friend has the even bigger TS116Y; it has the same bag, with a wider hoop.

I can never figure out your stupid net!!! HAHAHAHA!!! Especially not when you hook into a 45.5"er, and the current is taking us away!
Yes, but non-retarded people don't have any trouble with it… 🙄 [smilie=tongue.gif]
Gander Mountain has some nice big Frabills with the thick netting for $120 or so. When fishing alone or with 4 people in the boat I always have the net extended and ready to go – you just never know when youll need to use it and the couple seconds saved by not having to unfold a net could be the difference in catching and not catching a fish.

Words of wisdom! If you aren't doing this you will get caught wishing you had at some point. Figure out a way that it works in your boat and always have the net ready. We've put a lot of fish in the boat in less than 20 seconds including some big fish because the net is always ready. Would these fish still have been landed? We'll never know BUT with every angle change and ever head shake your odds become less that you'll land that fish.
To go along with this… make sure you are on the same page with your boat partner about exactly how you want the netting process to go. Lots of anxiety can be saved during the period from hook to land if you take a minute to go over this.
