I've seen the new net mounting system, Net Holster from MACCCCS, advertised and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it yet. I fish alone quite a bit and this seems like it could be a big help, especially when I am fortunate enough to bring one in and need that extra pair of "hands" to hold the net whle I work on getting the lure off the fish.
I've seen it in a few magazine ads, no expeirence with it though. I do about 90% of my musky fishing alone, and getting the hang of netting one by myself was one of the biggest challenges when I began. My problem was I usually got too excited and grabbed the net too early, stabbed at the fish before it was ready, etc. I'm sure this device would help, although my only concern would be that once you mount it you have to make sure you fight the fish to that side of the boat. If its a big fish or its breezy and the boat is drifting I feel like it might be kind of hard to make sure you get the fish to where the net is.
