I just got a new cell phone the other day and was able to load navionics mobile onto it. i am pretty excited to be able to have GPS and track maping on my boat.
For those who haven't seen it, its available for iPhone and Android (I have android)
It is the same maps as the hotmaps gold, and basically does the same stuff. it stores waypoints, measures distance, speed, estimated fuel consumption, pretty much everything the original does…
Biggest advantage is that I got the phone for free and the app is only 9.99…A lot better than buying a heldheld unit, and a heck of a lot better than the cost of a new graph.

I was due for an upgrade and I got the Android for free as well. Have you used it for fishing yet and how do you like it?

I have used it twice so far, and it worked well. once was in a monday night bass tournament, and we were able to find a pretty small spot we wanted to fish…problem was the boats with 250's beat our little 115, and they ended up winning…blast…but i guess i can have confidence in reading maps!
But it did work well, waypoints are easy, its got speed and direction on it too, all very helpful especially for the technologically unequiped like me.

Just make sure you have enough memory. The navionics website lists system requirements
