I've had it with Rollie and Helen's Musky Shop. Of the dozens of orders I've placed the past 5 years, they have never been able to fill it at that time. Anybody have a favorite on-line shop that is actually in-stock on what they sell? How do Thorne Bros or Pastika's compare in your experience?

Thanks,
Scott

I had my second experience with them this week and received a phone call saying they were out of 2 of the 3 colors I had ordered. Order was placed Sunday, my color substitutions were in Tuesday Morning, and as of today order status is pending. I may try Thorne Bros next time.

muskytackleonline is the best for just lures. The prices are usually the lowest, the shipping is crazy fast, Aaron is amazing at customer service, and free shipping on orders $75 or more. They don't have blades, beads, wire or other little things, but if one is just ordering lures than MTO can't be beat.

Agreed Rollie & Helen really sucks…Thorns, Pastikas, Reeds are all about the same, but if you wait until the last minute and expect to get all you ordered good luck. Thanks Jason i will check them out for sure!!!

Id have to agree on musky tackle online… Prices are 3 dollars cheaper on average easily…

AND their website is updated every day to what is in stock, so what u see they have available in colors is what they ACTUALLY have… Unlike Muskyshop where if i order something from there i call first, otherwise i skip it.

if i order sunday it arrives with my mail early on wednesday, muskyshop would take over a wk

I agree with most everyone else, Muskytackleonline.com is the way to go. Only once have I ordered something that happened to be out of stock, and within 5 minutes of placing my order he called me, apologized profously, and we substituted it for the next best thing. Awesome customer service, and I love the free shipping deal.

I'm wondering the same thing. Just go to the 'online tackle' button at the top of the page and you should be all set.

MTO is where it's at. I almost feel like I'm friends with Aaron after the customer service he's given me. He's just down the road from Mom and Dad's house so I'm going to stop in and meet him when I visit this summer. You won't find better customer service, and you always deal with HIM.

I also use Thorne's and Reeds. I just love Thorne's because they're half fly shop so it's one-stop shopping for me. And Adam from Reeds is a family friend so I shop there quite often as well; I get all of my electronics, chips and rods there. Their electronics selection is top notch for both Lowrance and 'bird.

RandH has let me down numerous times. They are nice, and do call me, but what a bummer sometimes. I have been ordering stuff at a couple other places and have had no prob (Pasticas,Thorn bros, Spanky baits).
I still order with RH at times. [smilie=brickwall.gif]
–I have been at Gander Mountian(Grandville) 3 times in the last couple weeks and each time Mike Stinson's twin brother tells me how many guys have been in there asking about muskie tackle and muskies in general.
O.K.,…. Its not Mike's twin, but sure looks alot like him! He sais the muskie buzz has been crazy there the last couple weeks. They dont carry SQUAT for muskies but with all this interest who knows what the future might hold!!?? Keep hounding them fellas!!

If anyone walks into MS and then walks into Thorne's or Reeds, you'll see the difference. Not a slam on MS, but it's a little shack compared to the other two. I still order from MS sometimes, but only when I don't "need" it and want to order it at 3:00 AM on my couch in my underwear to take advantage of their 5% internet discount.

And they strike again!!! I ordered welded rings from them last monday… they called tuesday to let me know they were out of that size…. Literally every order I have placed has had something missing. I figured if I just ordered one thing I'd be safe!
The whole point of the order was to have more leader making stuff for my trip north this week, and of course I just got the shipping notification yesterday, and it hasn't gone anywhere since, so basically I am stuck with providing leaders fro my bro's and I and only have 5… looks like I am building on the fly if anything happens!
