I was fishing Webster Lake today and saw Jim Saric fly fishing there. He had another guy with with him and a camera man. It will be interesting to see if there will be a Musky Hunter episode on Webster Lake next season.

I know Jim talked to Scott at the OH show about some shows he wanted to tape in MI this year. I know fly fishing was mentioned, but didn't know it was going to be Webster. He doesn't usually mention lake names on the show though I believe.

It'd be nice to see more on fly fishing. They have an article in the month's issue and I hope they continue the trend.

make sure you send them an e-mail and let them know you enjoyed the article.

I'm dyeing the blonde out right now – Scott & Jim talked about Michigan yes, but Webster's in Indiana right? Would look for him to do something this year on the Det. River too.

I posted a thank you on their message board. I'm just going crazy waiting for Robert Tomes' book to come out [smilie=brickwall.gif]

Opening day last season. I took Ron Lehman(my dentist) To Osterhout where he took his first Musky on a green and white Tarpon Fly. He used his Loomis 10 weight Flyrod and some real nice wire that he could tie. The fish is listed in the Photo forums . It was a 45 incher taken in about 12 inches of water. The strike was awsome and his tarpon Hook set was great. He put that single barbless hook right in the corner of the fishes mouth. Three jumps and a couple runs later and she was in the Beckman.

Ron told me it was one of his best moments as a fly fisherman. It was one of my best jobs as a guide for another person. Mike

Line hurlers is a great description. Fly fishermen make about ten casts for every one of ours. All that back and forth can wear a guy out. I did my very best that day to keep him on the best spots. He was exausted by the time that fish hit. But after it was over he was pumped!!! Mike
