Did anyone see a muskie show on Saturday, possibly on NBC outdoors. I heard there was a show that talked about history, stocking, etc.

Any ideas?

Was this show supposed to be about stocking and history in general? Or about michigan muskies

The guy @ work thought he remembered them talking about MN. Still, any show that takes the time to talk about more than catching fish on sponsor x's lure deserves a pat on the back.

I was going to give a pat to dahlberg a couple weeks ago about doing a big promo for Muskies Inc. on an episode, and showing catch and release practices, encouraging them, and also a little about stocking and population density and sensitivity of harvest… maybe it was that???

That sounds right based on our conversation. I can't imagine he wouldn't know who LD is but then again not all "fishermen" are as weird as us.

Was it on Hunt for Big fish?

He did have a Hunt for Big Fish episode about the stocking and need for better size limits/artificial lures only on Melton Hill lake in Tn a week or two ago so they could have easily replayed that as it's on NBC sports.

Yup. I was pretty impressed. He did the last segment of the show on conservation, and basically said if you want more info or to help, look up your local chapter of Muskies Inc. and a couple others, and I think gave a website. It seemed very much like a freebie, just trying to help, compared to yet another add for MakeLure.com and River2Sea. I was surprised and impressed.

It was this weeks episode of Lindners Angling Edge TV on VS. I am having a hard time remembering exactly what was discussed as I only saw some of it, I have it on my DVR. It was only the second half of the episode and they talked about some of the history behind muskie stocking. It was pretty interesting, I'm going to have to go back and re-watch it.

My DVR skipped this one… sounds like we are getting some good help though!
I would like to see the show that MInc. is sponsoring/partnering with or however that is working (Keyes outdoors?)… but its only on in WI MN from what I can find, so any other ways to watch this would be cool!

That is correct. At the end, Momc and MIDNR are mentioned in the credits…..I only saw bits of it but I have it on my DVR. Not sure why Momc was mentioned??? Didn't see anything pertaining to them in what little I saw.

Yep, Angling Edge, "Our Changing Waters." It was very well done. Still have it on my DVR to watch again as well.

This same episode ran this morning at 10:00 am on FSD. The message is getting out there.

I made a fast phone call alert to other musky nuts I knew were home to let them know to watch our West MI Charter TV 223 starting at noon. Your Lindner's Angling Edge program with the educational musky segment was on at 12:00PM, Next Bite 12:30PM, and Musky Hunter at 1:00PM as I'm typing this. Nice to have the 3-show series for a lunch break on Saturdays. After lunch time it is back to projects. [smilie=2thumbsup.gif]

Oops, I forgot to ask, but for the Next Bite and Musky Hunter did they mention what waters they were fishing?

Most people don't get the Charter 223 channels' as i Believe that is a sportfishing channel? or sportsman channel?

Unless you pay extra for it, most people won't have that channel..
