We're in the planning stages for the 2008 banquet and one thing that we need is to come up with some great trips. So on behalf of the banquet committee I'm asking for your input.

What kind of trips would you be interested in bidding on?

Guided trips?

Lodging at a destination like LOTW, Georgian Bay, etc.?

Non muskie trips like walleye, salmon, etc.?

If you have been fishing at a resort that you think was great let us know.

If you've been fishing with a guide that you thought was great let us know.

Will –

Even though your mini-fridge was understocked I might take you out again as long as you frisk Dave for illegal wardrobe items….

So far what I'm hearing is "guide for a day" trips from chapter members. Would you rather see guide for a day trips for Michigan destinations or trips to the best waters with the best guides? What about a week lodging at LOTW or Eagle or somewhere on Georgian Bay?

So it seems that maybe with travel restrictions due to time and budget considerations maybe people would rather stay local and learn some new water in Michigan. I mentioned to Will that I would be willing to put together a one or two day trip for late summer river fish if anyone is interested in going. Incidentally my curent avatar is from that river if anyone was wondering… any interest in something like that ?

If there is a week long trip at a resort, as long as the week is flexible to the bidder's schedule and I can plan ahead of time to save for it, I would be interested in bidding on any of the following:
Crow Lake, Ontario
Eagle Lake, Ontario
LOTW

I would consider… We got 16 to 7 lbs this past weekend. We snuck out between trips to the woods…

Has anyone considered a trip to Green Bay on a mid October weekend during their tournament? That could be a fun and learning trip combo.

All-

We could really use some input on this, if nothing has interested you in the past tell us what you want and we can try to accomodate what is the preferred:

Price range

Area

trip length

level of difficulty both fish and trip ex trophy or numbers, camping or hotel, hike in to no motor lake or dock at the cabin etc…

I would be very interested in a LSC trip again, with Will or one of our other MMA LSC experts.

A Taquamenom River Trip would also be of interest.

Kevin,
You could make that a 1/2 day musky and 1/2 day smallmouth or walleye too.

Will,
For the record I grew up working charter boats out of Manistee and have some good friends and family that run charters and/or guide on the rivers. I can call in a favor or two if you need some.
