The roughly added number for the day was 7250, and they had sent out a truck to Belleville, and had one ready to go on a northern trip to the Muskegon River sites, and Margarethe, and Winyah if I remember correctly. Average size was 10+ inches, and they seemed very healthy!
Here are a few pics, and thanks for rubbing in that you got action on Austin today Bill! I ended up coming home to an empty house for the three hours I said I would be able to fish!

Not a bad day at all going 7250 for 7251 on the day. Sucks to lose that one fatty on Austin but the overall conversion rate for the day should boost my numbers on the year a ton.
It was awesome to see all the healthy fish going into those trucks and to hear about all the lakes getting fish this year. Couple this years and future hatchery success with these new regs and we are on our way to some great fishing down the road in this great state.
I've never been on Austin, sounds like I need to.
Long is really close so it's nice to see that it's not going to be just forgotten entirely.
With the GLS program really taking off, will some waters be forgotten, or is it just a matter of the priority waters changing each year?
Hudson, Diane, Round, Bankson, are the ones that come to mind.

Where were the stocking locations for the Muskegon River?
According to Matt at the hatchery the site in clare county is Leota Bridge, I think its on Muskegon Rd. I know they stock walleye there regularly. The other one in Missaukee County is either Dolph rd or Cadillac rd. Matt wasn't sure off the top of his head, and I am sure it will be in the official report.

They are trying to keep them alive though, and see if they can grow them in the pond over winter… and add to the stocking effort in the spring.
