So today that fiberglass stuff was delivered for my boat and the guy was asking about it blah blah, then mentioned how his friend fishing this lake and catches muskies in it etc.. and how it is overpopulated with them. I wanted to laugh, but never heard of this lake and figured if this held true that some of you guys would of fished this chain of lakes before?
I have heard of Lincoln lake having some muskies, but never any type of sustained population worth fishing. Any truth to this?
yea that is what i had heard, then i was like, are you sure they aren't tigers? Then he said nah, he would know if they were tigers, but since he said he doesn't even fish; his friend prob just catches pike and thinks they are musky.
After he told me the lake that supposedly had muskies, i thought he was prob the only one fishing the lake for all these over populated muskies. Otherwise im sure mma people would have fished it by now

There were according to Dan Anson several mistakes made during the Tiger days where pure strains were stocked instead of Tigers or mixed in with tigers. If there are naturals in there they could possibly be from one such mistake. Does this lake connect at all during high water to Murray? Mike
I'm pretty sure any mistakes were the other way around, Tigers mixed w/ pure strain accidentally. Keep in mind anything you hear from Dan needs to be taken lightly and not as fact, he's not a biologist. He's been passing off a photo of me w/ a 54" fish as a 56" fish for about ten years, though I've corrected him many times.
