I think Steve sent that to me and was wondering what channel it was. I concluded that it was Muskegon's channel.. Was it the pic with the kid and his gf? And the blood all over from the musky on the bottom of the boat? I thought the fish were suppose to be spotted GLS fish as well but it def looks like a northern strain
that's the picture. Were it looks like hes gonna rip the gill plate off. My cousin said it was his buddy, but who knows. One thing that concerns me in the drown river mouth lakes is the number of people trolling around j plugs and such. If most of the salmon guys get a musky theyre not going to now how to handle it. I see how they handle the salmon and steel head, I involves a lead pipe. Of course you usually aren't going to release those.
I am hoping they will eventually find their way into my lake (Hornungs Duck Lake) we are on the upper Cedar creek drainage system (Little Cedar Creek) We get Salmon and Steelhead , suckers and walleye from the Muskegon River who all find their way into my lake so I wont be surprised if they show up here in a few years. I am really excited about all the fish stocked all around me ha ha ha . It has been a long time coming and waiting. One thing I have seen over and over is that these fish will travel for no apparent reason and end up in some strange places. Michelle and I have whitnessed spawning Muskies in Stoney Lake back in 2005 and those were spotted. We saw them while bluegill fishing in shallow wood cover. The big one was a good 46 to 48 inches. We have gone back a few times and fished it with no luck but Im sure now that we are stocking The lower Grand River,Muskegon,White, Mona and Lake Mac we are going to see them end up in all the drowned river mouths and streams along the west side. They will spread out and with any luck increase in numbers not only by stocking but by spawning. Mike
