What a joke. If anything we should be pushing for more spearing ban lakes as it is becoming more and more evident that pike spearers killing short muskies is damaging the fishery and undermining stocking efforts.

funny that a fish is no nobler… nobility has nothing to do with it! Its all about population management, and as soon as they figure that out our world would be much less interrupted by stupid ill-conceived proposals.
I was thinking the whole time reading thru this it was the trout guys and their fight, then I saw who was proposing it and laughed at how foolish it was to try to include the whole state and all types of fish. It kind of shows how close minded they are to forget about the hundreds of miles of gear restricted trout streams. Funny how the power of TU is actually going to help for once 😈 I love trout, but rarely agree with them, the unintended consequence is convenient however!
