Jim, No point being picky over typos. I first fast type a general sentence then go back and put in typo corrections and restructure the sentence as needed. In that case a wrong key got bumped and kaboom it was posted before I was ready. My lesson learned is don't try to type while still asleep.

K… so what is it you were trying to say still? That all members of any club are automatically members of MUCC? [smilie=umn.gif]

HAHA!! Thanks, Charlie!
As we get older, our memories degrade…
About a year and a half ago, MMA became an affiliate of MUCC, so now your MMA membership includes membership in MUCC. I sent this email to everyone in MMA on June 11, 2009:
Dear Michigan Muskie Alliance Member,
As a member of Michigan Muskie Alliance- Muskies, Inc. Chapter 47, you are now also an affiliate member of MUCC. Member benefits include a digital subscription to the Michigan-Out-of-Doors magazine via email. You can also upgrade to receive the regular magazine in the mail for a dicounted rate of $20 per year, if you desire. MUCC membership also offers group discounts for insurance providers, and special rewards programs with Speedway gas stations and Kroger stores.
If you prefer not to receive the digital magazine and other email notices from MUCC, or do not want your email address to be provided to MUCC for any other reason, PLEASE let Duke LeBaron, (** you do not have permission to see this link **), or Tom Carter
(** you do not have permission to see this link **) know by Friday, June 19, 2009.MMA is proud be a member club of MUCC, and we look forward to being able to better particpate in the fisheries management in Michigan. Thanks as always for your continued support.
Regards,
Tom Carter

I'm not a member of MUCC and haven't got any info from them. Worked with a guy that is a member of MUCC and he was busted twice for deer violations, don't think to much of MUCC!! When they take a person like that into there organization!
You can't hold that against the organization. Anyone can join MUCC and just like MMA/Muskies, Inc. there is no way to know if someone that joins has any game/fish violations.

Wrong, but as imperfect as MUCC is, there are very few umbrella organizations that have direct personal connections to the slimeballs in Lansing when we need them in the future. All MUCC member organizations understand this and we can work together on the big issues as 'One Voice', but are still free to promote narrower agendas as individual clubs. MUCC understands well they cannot please every member or club with all controversial issues as deer management, fishing methods, environment, ethics, or whatever. It is good that MMA belongs to MUCC so MUCC can help MMA with the important legislation MMA wants, and MMA can now submit resolutions at MUCC convention. When MMA gets their future MUCC resolutions passed after peer review and DNR blessings, the resolutions will have a much better chance of becoming law to help the state muskie program. Will and the MMA board did a good job to get MMA into MUCC.

Wrong,
Wrong? Are you sure you want to say that?
I'm certain that MUCC and MMA do not run background checks on anyone that submits an application. In fact, neither organization even questions applicants on their history of fish/game violations.

You know very well what I'm refering to. Of course organizations don't run formal expensive law enforcement background checks as you are trying to spin. However, we all know some of the bad characters like the type Steve was refering to. Move on.

No, I don't know what you are refering to because it doesn't make sense. I'm not spinning anything I am just stating facts. The point is that you or anyone else should NOT judge an organization by a single person, especially someone that is a "member" and not part of the BOD or governing body.
In the case Steve mentioned I'm sure MUCC didn't have any idea this person had a game violation. How then is it fair to judge MUCC by the actions of this person?
Hamilton Reef, I'm sure everyone at MMA respects your passion for our natural resources here in Michigan, and the experience you've had at the state level.
However, you MUST quit using such incendiary language in expressing your opinions, or the respect you've had in the past will quickly erode. Many, including myself, will quit reading your posts all together, and that would be sad. Please consider more carefully how you express yourself.
Charlie
Hamilton,
I don't know you but damn…. Everytime I read one of your posts it's seems your always so aggressive and negative. How can you go around pissed off all the time? Life's too short and it gets old seeing how you always want to argue, call names or start stuff. Geez man, you have to relax, take a minute and then respond in a respectful manner. I get and understand your passion for our resources and commend you for that but your posts have just become flat out rude and uncalled for.
