OK, I've read it, and here's my distillation of important findings:

1. Muskies are very well-fed in T’apple, perhaps making them harder to angle here than in some other lakes.
2. The mature muskies stay in the lake's basin, and don’t travel much up/down the river.
3. Muskies in T’apple seem to grow faster than the MI average, yet number of captured spawning adults seems to be declining, (Angler harvesting despite 50” limit, inferior competition with northern pike, or contradiction?)
4. Although the max. depth in T’apple is ~30 ft, low O2 content below the thermocline at 9-12 ft. limits muskies (and most other fish) to depths shallower than ~ 12 ft.
5. Muskies remain in shallow (≤ 12 ft.) water most of the time except when moving across the lake, or in the hottest summer months. Most of their movements are parallel to shore.
6. They don’t appear to be territorial, but don’t move far in any one day. They do appear to have “home ranges” with different areas for males (the central, deeper, lake basin) than females (the eastern, shallower end, near river's inlet).
7. Older, larger, fish move around less.
8. They prefer vegetative cover to open water or dock cover.
9. Most abundant prey fish were bluegills and black crappie, followed by yellow bullhead and golden shiners. Redhorse suckers were abundant in open water. These abundances may have been skewed by the type of netting used for his surveys.
10. When the water temp is above 25 °C (77 °F), muskies move to deeper, cooler water.
11. In fall, they make larger excursions out of their home range, possibly in search of the harder-to-find prey. In late fall, they move to deeper, warmer water. In winter, they become “couch potatoes”.
12. They are most active in water temps between 50-60 °F.

I'm likely missing some important things and misinterpreting others. What do I know? I'm new at this!
