Ok in the Ice out thread I see mention several problems from Meth labs to bed bugs in Indiana Motels. WHAT IS THE ScOOP? We are planning on heading down there in early April around the 9th and 10th. Should we stay away from the Lodge? Where is a safe bet for reasonable lodging for one night? Mike

Mike, is going to be hard to find a place to stay that doesn't have bed bugs. Call and ask them if they have them. By law, they have to tell you if they do.

We are looking at Brooke point inn Syracuse 79 bucks for a room. It looks real nice, real clean . We dont need battery recharge hookup as we are fishing with Vince Werrick one of the days we are down there. I will ask if they have bed bug problems. You would think they would sterilize the rooms by law. Mike

Nothing wrong with the Lodge. You're more likely to find bed bugs at larger highly traveled hotels/motels than you are at a place like the Lodge. It could happen anywhere, no sense stressing about it.

Will, thanks for the link. We dont want to bring any critters back to our house. Syracuse is not listed so I think we are alright staying there. I am going to email them however for a report. Mike

Chae Dolsen has a few places he rents, one is on a channel that has access to Webster, reasonable rates too.

I was joking….I think Jim is right…your risk for bed bugs is everywhere. The meth lab thing did happen…I was just having fun with my post based on some of the conversations we had at the ice out.
