We have talked about putting together a business card that members could carry with them and hand out to other musky fishermen that they meet on the water or anywhere else they run into them. I volunteer to start putting together ideas of what should be on the card. My wife does some good graphic design and would help lay it out. I have listed some ideas below and some things to think about and please post any ideas you may have.

Remember:
-All the info must fit on a business card and must be legible to people over the age of 40
-The message should be positive

Ideas:
-Explain why catch and release is important
-Some info about MMA and website address should be on it
-Give some tips on how to release a musky

What else?

I brought this up to Ed cause I had a guy Wed from Swanton, OH. at Hudson and we talked alot about Muskies. I must have sounded like an idiot because I told him to go to MMA.org about 10 times. If they look at the site and see what were trying to do, hopefully they will join. Will & Ed you guy's know what to put on those cards better than me.

I think the card should be the "allurer" to bring people to the site and see what it's all about. So of course, have the website address on it. Maybe some interesting facts on the card to get people thinking a little. Maybe on the back you could have a bunch of "Did you know that:"

We can have fun with this! Did you know- If you thought you were a good fisherman, muskies will show you the truth. Did you know- the biggest fish you probably have ever caught wouldn't even be a "legal" musky. Did you know- half the lures in your box cost as much as only a few musky baits. Did you know- if you like to practice casting you'll love musky fishing. Did you know- if you can't afford a gym membership you can just cast double tens all day. Who wants to join in? Oh, by the way, I am absolutely crazily addicted to musky fishing!

remember it is a business card size, you don't want to overwhelm these people with a ton of info. Leave them wanting more, and becoming interested in our site.

I agree. With the "Did you know", maybe a
-"Did you know that muskies are the apex predator in the freshwater system?" or
-"Did you know that with the right tools & knowledge, the fish of 10,000 casts can become the fish of just 1 well-placed,well-timed cast?" or
-"Did you know that contrary to popular belief, bass & walleye are not high on the muskie menu? To see what is, go to <url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]

I like Jason's examples for the front of the card. Not sure about the back yet.

I proposed a <url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]
">** you do not have permission to see this link **back in May, printable on Avery Business Card stock, and got a massive yawn.
