which one, that doesn't really narrow it down.

I saw one guy bitching about how it hasn't been advertised anywhere, but facebook.

It's not their fault he's been living in a hole and hasn't seen the website or advertising anywhere for it.

Put yourself in the shoes of the vendors… if MHM doesn't have an ad, I also heard they did an article on muskie shows and Michigan wasn't mentioned. If you don't hear about it constantly online, with the exception of "is there a Michigan show this year?" I would be really worried that I'm going to loose money again at this show – AGAIN.

Yes, about the no advertising. Didn't see anything in MHM either or mention. Is there anything to do now to get the word out?

I swear i saw it in a MHM issue, maybe not.

Might of been an ad online somewhere, but the guy was just saying it was basically only on facebook when it isn't.

It's obviously a smaller show, but people bitching about it like that online doesn't help much either

Their website (<url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]
">** you do not have permission to see this link **) was still showing info for the 2011 show until about the second week in January, IIRC.

WAAAY too late, if you ask me. The only place before that that I could find online about the 2012 show was on their Facebook page.

If it hasn't been posted on Michigan Sportsman and Lk St Clair net it should be. Heck, any other forum that you can think of should have it posted as well.

If you're thinking about posting something, most sites are pretty picky about stuff like that and will delete it because it's advertising. The correct approach would be to post something like:

Subject:
MMA at the Michigan Show
Message:
Some see MMA at the Michigan Muskie Show February 17 – 19! Show info can be found here – <url url="[Permission to view this media is denied]

yea that would be pretty late to change the info until jan.. should be done in the fall.

I knew they had the website up, but didn't know they didn't update it regularly.

Too bad.

The ball was dropped in many ways this year and it's going to take some effort on the part of the promoter to make it right for the vendors. We can't do anything about that but we need to keep in mind that the show benefits MMA. We need to support it and do what we can to drive people to the show.

At the Ohio show I heard alot of the vendors complaining about the show and the lack of promotion and that they would probably not come back. I hope it turns out OK and we all need to try and promote it.

I guess it is a little different for me as mma was talking about the show for months now but i do hope we have a good turn out as it is a nice thing for the club and the state. Hopefully the weather is nice unlike last year.

1. Are there going to be more business cards so we can hand them out during the season?

2.Are there going to be flyers like we got with the tickets to the banquet so we can try to get more people to the banquet. If we sign someone up for the banquet on Saturday will they still be in the running for the rod??

I was not able to be a vendor this year as being sick most of the Summer got us behind in Lure orders. We just don't have any product to take there. I had to decide back in September if we wanted in or not so I passed. I have orders from stores all over Canada that will keep us working until June. I will attend at least one of the days just to spend a little money and visit with our guys at the booth. If the Show makes it to year three I will go back as a Vendor. I did well last year but had very little overhead. Mike

When you go into the Muskies First page, there is a nice ad for the Milwaukee show. Is there somebody that can do a ad like this for the Michigan show, I don't know how to do it. Embarassed

I've got cards and brochures w/ member apps. I don't have any flyers for the banquet but I'll get some done before the show… ugh… I still have too much to get done before this show.
