Well I never thought it would happen but today it did. Debra Crossly Davis just broke Michelle's single season record set in 2006 of 103 Muskies. Her 1100 points still stands but Davis already has 104 fish And almost 1000 points. She has a chance to push the bar so high it will never fall. We are going to be congratulating her as soon as we figure out which chapter she is in. Mike
I think it just speaks for the massive amount of fish in St. Clair. In 2010 we were seeing these same fish and they were 25 to 31 and now the sheer numbers of 33 to 36 inch fish is staggering. Any way Shelly had that record for 6 years. She was the first gal to break 100 fish in one season. Davis may be the first woman to break 200 if she stays on the pace she is on. Her husband is right up there with Potvin and Dennis so that couple is smoking it right now.
Chad, I wish I had a place on St. Clair right now. My guess is in the next 5 to 7 years that area is gong to be putting out a lot of huge fish. We were fortunate to have a couple real good years out there but those pale in comparison to the numbers being caught this year. I'm not sure it has ever been this good out there.
Steve , yup she is still my queen. Mike

In reply to the Fall Brawl thread. We all know how this record fell. So, I guess my strategy to win a point system tourney would be to go to the south shore, Belle River area a little more specifically. Find the massive schools of those ferocious 36"ers, clean house and puff my chest out like the greatest that ever lived?!?!?! DON'T THINK SO GUYS!!!!! When we run into these little fellers while trolling, we leave the area….otherwise you could literally "brag" about going 25 for 30, or something ridiculous like that…..
All the masters records are toast. Men's masters will top 600 fish and the gal that bumped Michelle off will top 300 fish in one season. She has two over 50 as well so they are not only catching massive amounts of small fish. Her big fish for the year look a lot like Michelles 2006 run when she caught two over 50 and three between 48 and 50. Im not going to fault them. These folks did something no one else has ever done. It proves though that time on the water is really the key to catching numbers. Mike
here is the latest numbers from Crossly davis and Michelles good friend Kathy Latoza who has also passed Michelle's old record.
Deborah S. Crossley-Davis 286 fish 2829 points 35 inch average
Catherine Latoza 114 fish 1101 points 35 inch average
Crossly needs just 14 fish to be the first woman to not only break 200 muskies in one season but 300 as well.
Mens masters is unreal as well
John A Dennis 572 fish 5709 points 35 inch average.
Dennis is only 28 fish away from being the first man to top 600 muskies in one season eclipsing Joe Hardy's 504 mark
