Not sure what meeting was 3 hours away??? The general calendar has monthly meetings every month, unless there is an outing or event. The general meetings used to be held in Lansing, but the place closed, so we now hold the meetings at the Wagonwheel in Portland (pretty close to Lansing). The year end party and lure swap should be there too. The rest of the events on the calendar are outings and the banquet. The banquet is near Lansing every year and is in the beginning of March. The outings are scattered throughout the state. One is the Bruce Memorial which is on Thornapple Lake, the rest float around every year. We try to do one close to everyone every year or two, like at Budd or Murray or Sanford, and another that is more of a "destination" outing, like the Antrim Chain outing in August, or a new developing lake. Anyhow, there should be something near by every year, and a majority of the meetings and events are still centrally located in the state to try and include as many as possible.
