Undoubtedly some went down the hatch of the older muskies, but not all. Unless our catch rates really do reflect that of the creel survey… and that's the point, they don't. Those that are growing to maximum size potential are not doing it on planters every 3 years.
I don't know… it wouldn't take long for ten muskies to do some major damage to stockers when the weed spraying has turned it into a swimming pool.
WRT the survey, it all depends on who we put into our database for catch rates. Two guys in the boat + ten trips (10 hours ea) would be 200 hours. I'm sure there are people that don't catch a fish there all season. I'll also reiterate that people have trust issues and I wouldn't be surprised if a few anglers giving false information skewed the results.
Muskie guys giving false info. I dont believe that.
I know I said this is over on my end but I must point
out one other thing because I do feel this is an important
decision. The data in both surveys is 4 years old. Maybe
some new data is needed. ??
PS- I thought it was 30 years of muskies in Campau but
it appers to be 43. My bad.(what was that about false info) [smilie=bangtard.gif]

Problem is… there's no money to pay for it and probably won't be for years. I wouldn't expect them to find anything differnt based on what I've seen out there.
